The Works Museum: Edina
A Science and Technology Discovery Center

The Works is a nonprofit technology discovery center where learning about science and engineering is interesting, understandable and fun! The Works offers special classes just for homeschoolers! In an interactive and joyful learning environment, each child is encouraged to experiment, imagine, explore, design and build. Small classes allow lots of individual attention from The Works' enthusiastic instructors. Classes are held each fall, winter and spring. Throughout the cooler months, The Works invites homeschool families and groups to come in for special "Homeschooler Only" days where the exploration is focused on one area of science or engineering. During the summer, The Works also offers many summer day camp options to keep minds and bodies actively learning! Group visits can also be scheduled each weekday to enrich your science curriculum. Explore the museum gallery, do a workshop or choose both. See our website for details about the next homeschool day or for more details about workshop options!

September through April, The Works" gallery of touch-try-explore exhibits is open to the public every Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, as well as many holiday and school release days. Admission is $4 per person ages 3 and up. The Works is located on the 3rd floor of the Edina Community Center (5701 Normandale Road, Edina, MN 55424) on the EAST side of Highway 100.
